Socio - economic
Effects
CI shall endeavor to increase the number of women, men and youth involved in businesses within the target community. Households will generate income to support access to their basic needs of food, health care, education etc. Certain enterprises will target a specific gender, for instance, renewable energy enterprises may make more sense to women.
Socio economic effects will be anchored on productive business/value chain based units/groups, which will be structured to address social cohesion and peer development
Environmental
Effects
The project will have positive impacts on the environment through change in practices and attitude as a result of sensitization on environmental issues, animal waste will be used to enrich the land and reduce the use of fertilizer. Terraces will be raised and Napier grass planted.
This will stop soil erosion and Napier grass fed to animals or sold. Trees planted will promote apiculture and the bees will use flowers for honey making while enhancing pollination of crops
